Michael is also Resident Playwright for the San Francisco Mime Troupe, the director of the critically acclaimed, all-women Circus Finelli, is a regular blogger on Huffingtonpost.com, and is the author of "1984", the stage adaptation of George Orwell's classic dystopian novel. Directed by Academy Award winning actor Tim Robbins, "1984" premiered at Los Angeles' Actor's Gang Theatre, and in the past few years the Gang's production has toured Europe, Asia, Australia, and across the United States.
Velina
is the creator of a personal consultation service, The Business of ShowBiz, and a regular columnist for Theater Bay Area Magazine, helping the beginning and journeyman actor pick their way through the agent, union, and contract minefield of our business. To hear song and voice-over demos, click here.
Both Velina and Michael are Collective Members of
the San Francisco Mime Troupe, but work extensively outside of the company. They've been fortunate to frequently perform together - as lovers, as hero and villain, and as mother and son in one production - and father and daughter in another.
So thanks for coming. Stay awhile, and have a look around to get an idea of our style, our commitment, and our passion. velina@velinabrown.com michael@michaelgenesullivan.com
